I spotted this poster a couple of months back as I was walking through Deansgate. It was advertised in Wesley Owen, a Christian bookshop here in Manchester.
I like the tabloid style of this poster. It is so eye-catching it makes you stop to look. It is so bold and confident it shouts at you the same way tabloid headlines do.
The gospel is making headlines.
Bad things happen as a result of life. Things happen that disrupt our daily routine.
Jesus does not promise to take you out of this world, but to help you overcome the problems that result from being in this world.
In His own words: “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33).
