Man’s best friend
Dogs in cars are a funny sight, but more so when they are not looking out the window as they should, but looking at you on the wheel.
Today Small Sis and I are taking our Dachshund, JD to the vet because she has lumps on her under belly. We are fearing the worst as she is an old girl – she is 10 years at least. They say a dog is a man’s best friend, and I think it’s true.
All dogs go to heaven
The cataract in her eyes are already showing. Her once puppy eyes are now tinged in blue. She has lost her appetite and is getting slower by the day. According to the vet, she also has really bad teeth (eeek!)
Every time I ring home I want to ask if she is walking into walls yet, or getting skinnier or unable to eat anything. I dread the day when Mum calls and tells me JD has died. I don’t know how well I deal with death, because I haven’t come very close to it. All I know is, it’s inevitable.
But a greater truth I know is that my God is good and He causes everything to work together for the good of those who love Him. (Romans 8:28)
