A Celtic prayer for our work

Lord, show us what blessing it is
that we have work to do.

Show us what a privilege it is
that it is you we are serving.

All that we are, Lord
We place into your hands.

All that we do, Lord
We place into your hands.

Everything we work for
We place into your hands.

The troubles that weary us,
We place into your hands.

The thoughts that disturb us,
We place into your hands.

Each that we work alongside
We place into your hands.

Each that we have responsibility for
We place into your hands.

Lord, you have shown us
what you require.

Help us to act justly, to love mercy,
to walk humbly before you.

In the name of him who is
our model and master,
Jesus Christ.

Amen
