Hebrews 12&13

My food for this morning came in the form of Hebrews 12 and 13. Indeed, the Bible is God’s word and it is alive. It is inspired by God, useful to teach us what is true and make us realise what is wrong in our lives. It speaks to me at the exact moment when I need to hear from God.

12:1 Run the race that God has set before us
12:12 Get a grip and keep running
12:14 Make effort to live in peace with everyone
12: 15 Watch out for poisonous roots of bitterness growing up to trouble you, corrupting others.
12:27 The Kingdom of God is unshakable, and only the unshakable will remain.
13:1 Keep on loving each other, be hospitable to strangers
13:4 Give honour to marriage, remain faithful to one another
13:5 Don’t love money, be satisfied with what you have
13:7 Remember the leaders who taught you the word of God. Follow their examples of faith.
13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. So don’t be attracted by strange, new ideas.
13:14 This world is not our permanent home; we look forward to a home yet to come.
13:17 Obey your spiritual leaders and do what they say.
